About Quality Captive Bred Chondros
David A. Darsow
I have been interested in reptiles for literally as long as I can remember. In fact, one of my earliest memories is of my cousin Greg and I catching garter snakes in Grandma Darsow's backyard in Minnesota after she warned us to "watch out" for the snakes! I was about 4 and Greg was about 5 at the time. The "warning" was all the encouragement a couple of ornery young boys needed to set out on their first snake hunt. That was about 40 years ago and the passion has continued to grow over the years.
Although I have worked with a multitude of reptile species over the years, including not only snakes but lizards and turtles as well, I have always had a special interest in pythons and have been particularly fascinated with the green tree python since I first read about it in a book many years ago. Although I only acquired my first specimens of Morelia viridis in 2007, I had worked with their very close cousin the carpet python since the early 1990's.
I am currently in my final year of law school and intend to devote much more time to both this site and my green tree python breeding program after graduation. Although I would almost always rather be either working on one of my Web sites or working with my pythons, the reality of life means that getting my J.D. degree and passing the bar exam must take priority at this time.
